To the many Supportors in the fight for justice for LaVena Lynn Johnson effort
(From Dr. John H. Johnson, in response to the “National Moment of Silence” commemoration for LaVena)
My wife, Linda and the rest of the Johnson family joins me in thanking all of you for not only supporting this effort to commemorate our daughter, LaVena Lynn Johnson’s birthday on 27 July 2013, and for the support we have received from all of you during the last 8 long, hard fought, emotionally charged years to obtain justice for her.
When I started this fight for justice, it was not only based on the fact that LaVena would not have taken her own life, but it was mainly based on the preponderance of forensic evidence, which the army attempted to conceal, and was recovered during my Investigation Team’s six year investigation into her death. LaVena suffered a horrible rape and murder.
Unfortunately, with all of the recent exposure of the sexual abuse patterns confined within the military rank and file, she seems to have been forgotten. This is why this commemoration of her birthday is so important to us.
Please know that our fight is obviously not over and will not be until our daughter’s military record is cleaned up and her innocence restored. This fight also comes with a great financial
price to our family in travel, legal fees, and the support of my Team’s work. In addition to your moral support, we would really appreciate any monetary support you can help us out with.
Those wishing to help us out can send donations to the following PO box address:

Again thank you for your support, and may God Bless us all!
Dr. John, Linda and the rest of the Johnson family, relatives and friends.
