HELLO LISA PLEASE READ @JUSTICE FOR JARELL WADDELL HE WAS A 2ND LT IN THE AIR FORCE AND THIS IS HOW THEY TREATED HIM AND TRYING TO COVER IT UP . I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU THANKS A BROKEN MOTHER ….BARBARA
I am so sorry about what happened to your daughter and your family. It was horrible for you. I served in the Air Force where I was raped and tortured and left for dead. They tried there hardest to cover it up but I won in the end. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. You are in my thought’s and prayer’s.
Mt and Mrs Johnson. I am so sorry to hear about this. I can,t imagine the pain and saddness you and your family is going through. From your description—yes, the military is covering up your daughters death and I will be gladly to sign your petition and wish you all the very best of luck in finfing who done it and see your daughter and your family gets justice for her. Again, I am sorry for your loss.Respectifully,Johnny Nicholas
Happy Memorial Day to the family of LaVena Johnson. Your courage to stand up to the military’s cruelty and code of silence make you heroes too. What happened to your daughter what so unbelievably sick and unfair and against everything we’re told military service stands for. I was forced to serve with my rapist. I could’ve been her. I could’ve been Maria Lauterbach. I could’ve been any of a number of other servicewomen who shared stories, repeatedly assaulted for revenge or because she was a tarnished witness. I was discharged with an adjustment disorder. Our society has an adjustment disorder – if MST is something we accept and don’t fight. Thank you for fighting. You fight for all of us.
I have been sharing the story of your daughters death on my book page and also on my personal page. The story of what happened to her makes my American blood boil. I am a female combat veteran. I am now disabled through service connected injuries. I would be elated if they reopened this case. My prayers are with your family.
My condolences to the family. I was a civilian contractor on Camp Anaconda in Balad from 08/2004-05/2006. I remember going to the DFAC for breakfast and the MP’s not allowing us to walk our normal route. We were told that a young black soldier committed suicide in one of the tents. It was something about her husband or boyfriend back home was cheating on her, or something like that………. I find it strange that it was classified as a suicide so soon, especially after reading the circumstances surrounding her death. Definitely a sad situation…………..
